The Entebbe Cricket Ground bore witness to a masterclass in grit and composure as the Uganda Victoria Pearls defeated the United States by 11 runs, completing a flawless tournament run to lift the Women's Easter T20 Cup.

After being asked to bat first, the Pearls navigated a cautious start to set a target of 101/5. The innings was defined by Captain Janet Mbabazi played a quintessential leader's knock, grinding out a steady 31 from 36 deliveries to provide the backbone of the innings.

Rita Musamali (21) and Esther Iloku (14) kept the scoreboard ticking during the middle overs when boundaries were hard to come by. Just as the momentum seemed to stall, Malisa Ariokot turned the tide, smashing a lighting fast 13 off just 5 balls to push the total past the psychological 100-run barrier.

Defending a modest total requires nerves of steel, and Uganda's bowling unit delivered in spades. USA chase struggled to find a rhythm as the Pearls' attack strangled the scoring rate from the first over.

Immaculate Nakisuuyi was named player of the match after scoring 4 wickets and Irene Mutonyi 3 wickets that provided a critical breakthroughs at the top whereas Janet Mbabazi  maintained pressure alongside Consylate Aweko.

The American side saw glimpses of hope through Isani Vaghela (19) and Sainavi Kambalaplli (18), but the relentless accuracy of the Ugandan fielders meant no partnership could survive. The USA was eventually bundled out for 90 in the 19th over
