Well-wishing or having a good heart wishing to see others prosper is God given. not every man wants to see his Neighbor making it more than them in life. some will see you as a threat when or not sharing a profession.
There are many who want to make it in life but can't reach desired tops without assistance of their models. The problem is, once these models are approached and asked for assistance, they lively express their evil hearts against these low career struggling beginners.
Sharing of knowledge, strategy, ideas, guide and tips is not competition or threat like other people misunderstand it. If an intern, training worker, one on probation ask you for assistance, it means you're the right and trusted person she/he has gained confidence to come to. Help to create a legacy and good memories in the life of this intern. she's not a threat for your job nor a competitor but rather a trustee for your knowledge.
The habit of asking for something in exchange especially on female employees is not professional but rather evil and not friendly.
Same way someone help you get that promotion, same way you should celebrate someone approaching you in that field asking for assistance. Be friendly but not rude .
