Godfrey Kabyanga Baruku, the State Minister of ICT, announced the upcoming event where Uganda's entire digital space will be brought under one roof, led by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). The event will facilitate communication between buyers and sellers from the media and ICT sectors across the globe, utilizing the internet and digital platforms. He reassured the public that advanced cybersecurity measures, including super cyber walls, are being developed to protect those affected by cybersecurity issues.

Gideon Nkurunungi, CEO of the ICT Association of Uganda, emphasized that the National ICT Summit, scheduled for October 23-24, is not merely a one-day event but a multifaceted occasion featuring numerous strategic pillars. One of the highlights will be the launch of the East African Digital Strategy, focusing on digital transformation within the network. Nkurunungi assured that the summit will have a unified goal of bringing together leaders to enhance their understanding of technology. The High Commission of India is expected to be one of the key speakers at the summit.
