The cream of Ugandan sports rose to the occasion as David Kavuma Ssemujju, Maureen Kiiza, Jacob Kiplimo, and Hassan Alwi took home top honors at the Fortebet Real Stars Sports Awards. Ssemujju, the boxing sensation, defended his WBO Asia Pacific welterweight title in Tokyo, outclassing Japan's Masayuki Urashima, while Kiiza dominated the football scene, fending off stiff competition from Jovia Nakagolo and Marion Serenge.

Athletics maestro Jacob Kiplimo set a new world half marathon record in Lisbon, edging out Abel Chelangat and Sarah Chelangat, while rally ace Hassan Alwi cruised to victory at the Mbale City Rally, eyeing the 2026 National Rally Championship title.
On the event, Alwi expressed gratitude and renewed ambition. “Winning such an award is very motivating and I am humbled. I thank the organisers for recognising our efforts,” he noted.
